User Experience
The REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro supports three lighting modes: breathing, colorful, and always-on. The smoked translucent cover makes the light soft and not dazzling, creating a full esports atmosphere
The REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro has a built-in color-changing cooling plate. The fins are covered with intelligent temperature-sensing materials, which can sense temperature changes and synchronously present blue color.
The cooler has a built-in N52 neodymium iron boron magnetic core with a suction force of up to 14N. iPhone users can achieve strong magnetic attachment without using magnetic sheets.
Measured power consumption of the cooler in standby state is about 0.74W.
Using the REDMAGIC 100W charger to power the REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro, the measured power is 14.93V 2.27A 33.85W.
Temperature Test
How is the adaptability and cooling effect of the REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro in actual use?
By downloading the "Top Player" APP, both iOS/Android systems can connect to the dedicated cooling APP to achieve AI temperature control, RGB lighting effects, and other control management, improving playability.
On the device homepage, the current operating status of the cooler can be intuitively viewed. The back clip temperature, fan speed, and power can all be displayed in real time. Below are switches for intelligent temperature control, cooling, and God Mode, as well as multiple cooling level adjustments and lighting effect settings.
When God Mode is turned on, the cooler will adjust the power level to the maximum, at which time both fan speed and cooling power reach their peak, which is very practical for extreme cooling players.
In low-level mode, the cooler power is as low as 3W, and the fan speed is 3570RPM, ensuring quietness while maintaining cooling capability, which is very friendly for users who care about fan noise.
In the [Lighting Settings], in addition to the switch, there are three modes: breathing, colorful, and always-on.
In actual use, the REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro adopts a 3D through-type air duct, combined with a low-noise fan. It achieves upper and lower air outlets, so hot air does not blow on the hands, while operating more quietly and providing a refreshing and comfortable grip experience.
From the thermal imaging image, it can be seen that the temperature distribution in the cooling area is uniform and the core low-temperature area is concentrated. Combined with the upper and lower air duct design, hot air is quickly discharged from both sides to avoid heat accumulation. This means that in high-load scenarios such as mobile games and live streaming, it can quickly remove heat from the back of the phone in a very short time, effectively suppressing frequency reduction and lag, providing reliable support for long-term stable operation.
Next, let's look at the cooling performance under no-load conditions. Place the cooler in an environment at about 25°C room temperature, set the cooler to God Mode, and use a thermometer gun to record the temperature corresponding to time.
At the start of the test, the temperature at the center of the front of the cooler is about 28.8°C.
At 20 seconds, the temperature drops sharply by 28.90°C, and the back clip temperature is as low as the freezing point of 0°C.
After running for 1 minute, the lowest temperature of the cooler drops to -6.5°C.
After running for 2 minutes, the lowest temperature of the cooler drops to -9.5°C. Compared with the initial temperature of 28.8°C, the difference is 38.4°C. Overall, the REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro has a rapid cooling speed and can dissipate heat in a very short time, easily handling players' gaming cooling needs.
