Nubia Redmagic 11 Pro+ Review: Liquid Cooling, Snapdragon 8 Elite Power

In the second half of this year, Redmagic launched its new generation flagship smartphone series, the Redmagic 11 Pro lineup, which includes the Redmagic 11 Pro and the hydrogen-front transparent Redmagic 11 Pro+. The Pro starts at 4,999 yuan, while the Pro+ starts at 5,699 yuan.

This time, we are reviewing the Redmagic 11 Pro+ Dark Night Transparent Edition. The phone adopts Redmagic’s signature flat transparent design. The top retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the back is covered with a smooth high-transparency panel, allowing it to sit flat on a table. Beneath the transparent rear cover is a decorative plate that enhances the mechanical aesthetic.

The rear camera and cooling fan are arranged in a square layout in the upper left of the back cover. The circular fill light at the top left houses an infrared sensor for simulating remote control of home appliances. The fan, Redmagic logo, e-sports mode logo, and the shoulder buttons all feature lighting strips that activate corresponding effects during gaming mode, fast charging, and notifications.

The biggest upgrade of the Pro+ rear cover lies in the core of the ICE Magic Cooling System—the Pulsating Liquid-Cooling Engine.

Beneath the transparent rear panel is a circular module roughly the size of a typical magnetic cooling fan, inside which coolant circulates for the liquid-cooling engine.

Redmagic has also upgraded the fan to a new 24,000 RPM cooling fan. Combined with the 4D Ice-Layer VC and liquid metal structure, it forms a next-generation cooling system. When gaming, running high-performance apps, or activating fast charging, the liquid-cooling engine and side turbo fan activate simultaneously. You can visibly see coolant flowing through the back panel, and the response is rapid.

Even when not running demanding games or benchmarks, you can feel the cooling effect directly when holding the phone, similar to small magnetic cooling fans. With performance maxed out during heavy gaming or while using wireless fast charging, heat management remains strong.

In terms of performance, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ uses the 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform combined with Redmagic’s self-developed gaming chip, the Red Core R4. Paired with LPDDR5T and UFS 4.1 Pro storage, it achieves an AnTuTu score of 3,674,654 in room-temperature conditions with cooling enabled.

As a flagship built for gaming, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ integrates CUBE Engine 3.0 into the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, enabling deeper CPU and GPU scheduling. Alongside Adreno independent high-speed memory technology and Game Ready drivers, it boosts performance while controlling power consumption for more stable frame rates.

The Redmagic 11 Pro+ supports Wuthering Waves at 90/120 FPS, Blade & Soul 2 at 90 FPS, and Astra: Resonance at 960P 60Hz. Genshin Impact can sustain 60 FPS in long sessions, and running Tomb Raider through the built-in PC emulator also maintains stable frame rates.

Overall, the performance upgrades and the new liquid-cooling system noticeably improve the gaming experience. Even with maximum graphics in large titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, external cooling fans are no longer necessary, removing the need for extra powered accessories and greatly enhancing mobile gaming convenience.

For battery and charging, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ upgrades to a 7500mAh third-generation Giant Bull battery paired with 120W fast charging. The Redmagic 11 Pro comes with an 8000mAh battery and 80W wired fast charging.

Additionally, Redmagic has added 80W wireless fast charging to the 11 Pro+. The liquid-cooling system helps reduce heat during wireless charging to maintain stability. When paired with Redmagic’s 80W wireless-charging-compatible cooling fan, the wireless charging experience becomes fully optimized.

In terms of universal fast-charge compatibility, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ supports up to 94W PD PPS fast charging, and charges from 0–100% in just 51 minutes, so charger selection is flexible.

For the display, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ features a 6.85-inch 1.5K punch-hole-free Wukong Screen 2.0. It uses the latest X10 luminous materials, supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, includes StarShield Eye Protection 2.0, and is ZREAL certified.

For cameras, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ uses a dual-50MP setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The main sensor is a 1/1.55-inch CMOS with OIS and HDR mode. The front camera is a 16MP under-display camera.

Without a doubt, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ is still a flagship that maxes out upgrades in performance and gaming. The newly added liquid-cooling system provides a stronger thermal foundation, allowing the device to deliver better performance in large mobile games and PC emulator titles.

Finally, for pricing, the Redmagic 11 Pro+ comes in three colors: Dark Night Knight, Hydrogen-Front Transparent Silver Wing, and Hydrogen-Front Transparent Dark Night. The two transparent versions come only in 16GB and 24GB RAM options. Although the Dark Night Knight lacks a transparent back, it still supports liquid cooling and 80W wireless charging internally.
