RedMagic 11 Air Gaming Phone: Snapdragon 8 Elite, Active Cooling
According to current leaked information, the RedMagic 11 series Air model will feature a built-in active cooling fan and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is expected to launch officially later this month. As per tradition, this more affordable variant has attracted considerable attention from consumers. Following confirmation of the above details by official sources, real-world images of the RedMagic 11 Air have recently surfaced, showing that it continues to use the series’ signature “Wukong Screen” along with a side-mounted airflow channel.
In terms of design, the RedMagic 11 Air continues the family-style design language of the current RedMagic 10 Air. Both the front and back adopt a completely flat design. The rear houses a multi-camera module with independent cutouts in the upper-left corner, while the brand logo is positioned at the lower-left. The front is expected to retain a full-screen design with no punch-hole or notch, offering an exceptionally high screen-to-body ratio. The device measures 163.82 × 76.54 × 7.85 mm and weighs only 207 g.
The RedMagic 11 Air is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chip, with its standout feature being the addition of an active cooling fan—currently unique within the Air product lineup. Another highlight is the massive memory configuration, with the top variant offering 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Due to rising storage costs, users with such needs may want to seize the opportunity. The phone includes a 7,000 mAh battery (rated at 6,780 mAh) and is expected to support 80 W wired fast charging, delivering a noticeable improvement in battery life.
On the display side, the screen size has increased from 6.8 inches to 6.85 inches, continuing to use the latest under-display camera technology along with a less common squared, flat-edge design. Another upgrade is the screen resolution, which has been raised from 2480 × 1116 to 2688 × 1216. Interestingly, whether it is the 6.85-inch size with a 144 Hz refresh rate or the 2688 × 1216 resolution, these specifications are consistent with the RedMagic 11 Pro series.
Because the screen is nearly identical, the RedMagic 11 Air shares the same length and width as the RedMagic 11 Pro series at 163.82 × 76.54 mm. However, thickness has been reduced from 8.9 mm to 7.85 mm, and weight has dropped from 230 g to 207 g. There are some compromises in imaging: the front camera remains at 16 MP, the 50 MP main rear camera is unchanged, while the ultra-wide camera has been downgraded from 50 MP to 8 MP. For gaming-focused users, this change has minimal impact.
Based on certification images from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a new illuminated logo has been added to the right side of the camera module, while the bottom opening is likely for the fan lighting effect. Professional gaming phones are placing increasing emphasis on lighting design. The side buttons remain plentiful, including the exclusive dual-IC touch-sensitive gaming shoulder triggers, and the circular gaming switch is also retained. The fan intake is positioned to the left of the second rear camera, between the shoulder triggers and the volume keys. The rear camera module protrudes slightly, representing the biggest compromise compared with the Pro series.
For esports users who prefer a lighter and thinner body, the RedMagic 11 Air is well worth considering. Its overall specifications have been significantly upgraded, while still maintaining unique advantages. Compared with other slim competitors, it offers the strongest performance, the only under-display camera solution, dedicated gaming shoulder triggers, and an active cooling fan. Paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, this setup will remain highly competitive even in 2026.
If the current leaked information about the RedMagic 11 Air proves accurate, it will continue the sub-flagship positioning of its predecessors, offering features such as the “Wukong Screen,” built-in active cooling, and extreme performance tuning. As for the final product details, further confirmation is still required. Interested readers may wish to keep an eye on upcoming updates.
