It is the first Air model to feature an active cooling fan: as the pioneer and trailblazer of active air cooling, having a fan makes it feel more like "true Red Magic," and this Turbo Fan 4.0 sustains speeds of 24,000 RPM, with a large airflow volume working in concert with an efficient heat dissipation pathway to rapidly expel heat from inside the body.

2. Appearance: Continuing the Brand's Full-Range Transparent Aesthetic

The transparent design on the Red Magic 11 Air is truly eye-catching; according to the manufacturer, in addition to the "Quantum Black" colorway we have in hand being a transparent finish, the other two colorways — "Stellar White" and "Aurora Silver" — are also fully transparent across the entire lineup.

The internal design of the transparent exterior incorporates various geometric patterns such as racing tracks and vinyl records, which complement the body's "Quantum Black" colorway beautifully; the black design conceals a sharp technological edge, blending a futuristic, tech-forward product concept into the understated black palette.

The camera module features a minimalist raised design, with an overall shape resembling an inverted L; the main camera and ultrawide are placed horizontally at the top. The flash ring sits at the very bottom. In the middle is the newly integrated active cooling fan on the Red Magic 11 Air.

As the creator and leader of active cooling fans in smartphones, Red Magic has finally filled in the most important missing piece from the previous Red Magic 10 Air. This fan has now iterated to its fourth generation, called "Turbo Fan 4.0," with a sustained fan speed of 24,000 RPM. However, it is also worth noting that due to the touch shoulder triggers and the fan, the volume buttons and power button have been positioned lower, and daily use will require some adjustment.

The other side features Red Magic's exclusive function button, which is also customizable and can be set to open the AI assistant, launch games, and other options.

The Red Magic 11 Air places the infrared remote control in the top area rather than opting for the newer rear-mounted design seen elsewhere, but this also gives the back panel a stronger sense of unity. The bottom features the classic arrangement of speaker + Type-C port + SIM card slot and microphone port.

Moving to the front, as the industry's exclusive true full-screen display, this screen never fails to impress no matter how many times it is powered on. The screen-to-body ratio reaches as high as 95.1%, while the bezels measure just an extremely narrow 1.25mm, offering an infinite sense of immersion and visual impact wherever the eye looks.

The quality of this true full-screen display also remains top-tier; it supports SGS blue light certification and China's national AMOLED eye care certification, with a maximum supported refresh rate of 144Hz, delivering an unparalleled gaming experience.

3. Performance: Air Cooling + VC Dual Enhancement — Slim Yet Powerful

The Red Magic 11 Air is equipped with the year's most acclaimed Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, along with UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X Ultra memory.

While it is a little unfortunate that it couldn't use the latest fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite, this performance triple combo still represents one of the top-tier performance configurations in mobile today.

Compared to the SoC's theoretical maximum performance, sustained thermal dissipation performance is what truly matters. The Red Magic 11 Air's industry-first ultra-thick Ice Stage VC can greatly enhance the vapor chamber space and improve heat distribution, while the double-sided raised architecture brings the VC heat spreader closer to the core heat-generating areas, improving heat spreading efficiency.

We conducted actual gaming performance tests:

Honor of Kings

Under extreme quality settings at 144 frames, the performance throughout a full match was excellent, with an average frame rate of 144.7 FPS, a frame stability index of 0.1, and a 1% low frame rate of 121.9 FPS. Frame rate fluctuation throughout the entire match was steady, with virtually no perceptible frame drops.

Even more impressive was the phone's power consumption performance; the average gaming power draw was 2.84W, with per-frame energy consumption dropping below 20mW.

Red Magic's scheduling and power management is not the blunt, heavy-handed approach one might expect; rather, it is extremely precise, with an excellent efficiency performance.

The maximum temperature on the back was just 31 degrees.

Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact, amid an imperceptible evolution of chip performance, has gradually fallen into the medium performance pressure category.

Its performance on the Red Magic 11 Air was unsurprisingly good as well; the average in-game frame rate was 60.0 FPS with a frame stability index of 0.1, and the 1% low frame rate reached 54.7 FPS. The game was even more stable than Honor of Kings.

Power consumption performance was also great; the average power draw of 3.35W places it among the best-tuned Snapdragon 8 Elite devices, and the per-frame energy consumption of 55mW is outstanding.

Honkai: Star Rail

The currently most demanding Honkai: Star Rail can also run at a full frame rate on the Red Magic 11 Air. During a Golden Hour map traversal session, the average frame rate was 60.8 FPS, the frame stability index was 0.2, and the 1% low frame rate reached 53.8 FPS.

The average gaming power consumption was 6.57W, with a per-frame energy consumption of 108mW. Performance output was very aggressive.

At the same time, the maximum back surface temperature reached 44.3 degrees.

We can see from the side that the temperature is highest at the exhaust vent position, effectively carrying heat out of the device.

4. Imaging Capability: A Practical Choice That Gets the Job Done

The Red Magic 11 Air's main camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with a 24mm focal length, f/1.9 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide.

Imaging is naturally not its primary focus, but it is more than sufficient for everyday life recording; let's still take a look at actual sample photos.

We cannot demand too much from this phone's imaging capability; its performance in non-direct sunlight is acceptable for getting shots, with clear blue skies and sharp architectural details.

5. Battery Life: A Slim Phone's Battery Ceiling That Defies Expectations

If there is one thing about the Red Magic 11 Air that is the least "Air-like," it is undoubtedly its 7000mAh oversized battery — a battery capacity that even surpasses today's various thick and heavy flagships. While gaming performance is formidable, truly worry-free use also requires lasting battery life.

Alongside the massive battery capacity, it also supports 120W ultra-fast charging, which is already an extremely rare charging speed for today's more stable silicon-anode batteries.

How exactly does the charging performance and battery life hold up? Let's put it to the test.

Charging Test:

Starting from 1% battery, we activated fast charging mode and began charging; the total charging time was 58 minutes, with a maximum charging power of 73W.

Red Magic's charging protocol is quite interesting — it is a mixed protocol combining quadruple-voltage and double-voltage charging; at around 65% charge it switches down to double voltage while simultaneously increasing the current to maintain the power delivery rate.

The specific charging speed is shown in the chart below:

17% in 5 minutes, 31% in 10 minutes, 56% in 20 minutes, 79% in 30 minutes. The speed for on-the-go top-ups is quite formidable.

Battery Life Test

For the battery life test, we used the professional battery life testing tool "Battery Dog," produced by Fast Technology.

In terms of test items, the default test runs until 20% battery remaining; at the same time, all test items including CPU high load, CPU multi-threading, AI recognition, image browsing, video playback, and web browsing are selected, simulating user usage scenarios to reproduce real-world power consumption as closely as possible.

During the test, to keep the environmental variables consistent across all devices and ensure the accuracy of test results, Battery Dog automatically adjusts screen brightness to 50%, disables auto-brightness, and sets volume to 30%.

The Red Magic 11 Air lasted 11 hours and 58 minutes; its nearly 12-hour battery life leaves a host of Air models far behind, handling a full day of use with ease and serving perfectly well as a primary device.

At the same time, the 7000mAh large battery and 120W flash charging are simply on another level compared to ordinary Air models, and the previously common problems of slow charging, small batteries, and short battery life simply do not exist here. The nearly 12-hour top-tier battery life is comparable to the standard flagships from every major brand.
