REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro Launches June 11 with OLED & Elite Chip
A Gaming Beast That Fits in Your Pocket Is Coming! REDMAGIC officially announced that the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro will be released on June 11, with the tagline “Smaller Yet More Powerful.” Featuring a 9-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a flat transparent body, it aims to directly challenge the iPad mini and Legion Y700.
On June 3, REDMAGIC revealed official renders and confirmed that the launch event will be held at 19:00 on June 11. The new tablet will come in two color options: Deuterium Transparent Dark Night and Deuterium Transparent Silver Wing. The rear continues REDMAGIC’s iconic vertical transparent rectangle design, showing off the internal RGB-lit cooling fan and Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It also features a distinctive red gaming button on the side.
This is the first REDMAGIC gaming tablet to adopt a fully flat back design, eliminating any camera bump to prevent discomfort while holding the device during gameplay. The body uses highly transparent, wear-resistant silicon-aluminum glass and retains a customizable RGB light strip. The transparent section gives a clear view of the cooling fan and liquid metal thermal architecture, creating a high-tech aesthetic. Although it is slightly thicker than its competitors, this design improves grip and allows for a larger battery, making it a perfect fit for gamers.
The tablet is equipped with a custom 9-inch OLED screen with a 2400×1504 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio). Its ultra-narrow symmetrical bezels on all four sides deliver an immersive viewing experience similar to a slim-bezel iPad mini. According to REDMAGIC Product Manager Jiang Chao, the screen uses an upgraded touch chip that significantly enhances response speed. The front-facing camera is centered on the long side, ideal for both landscape gaming streams and video calls.
In terms of performance, the tablet features a high-frequency Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (up to 4.32GHz) and offers up to 24GB of RAM. Benchmark scores on Geekbench 6.4.0 reach 3217 single-core and 8350 multi-core. To manage this powerful chip, it includes an active cooling fan + liquid metal thermal system, allowing it to run large games at full power over extended periods — significantly outperforming passive-cooling competitors.
Battery life is another major highlight. The REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro includes an 8240mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging. It’s directly positioned against the iPad mini (A17 Pro version) and Legion Y700, claiming to set a new benchmark for battery life among small-size tablets. Paired with the active cooling system, it maintains stable performance even during long gaming sessions without thermal throttling.
Tech blogger Qiji highlighted a crucial insight during his review: if REDMAGIC integrates a PC emulator into this tablet, it would fundamentally redefine the product. Compared to smartphones, the 9-inch screen, cooling, and battery make it ideal for PC gaming, potentially transforming it into a portable game console. He also noted that REDMAGIC products lack domestic pricing advantages and need unique features to break through — and a built-in PC emulator could be a game-changer.
The REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro (model NP05J) is now available for pre-order. As demand for compact gaming tablets heats up, will this performance-packed and portable “gaming cannon” be able to shake up the dominance of the Legion Y700 and iPad mini? We'll find out at the June 11 launch event.
