In the past two years, as the traditional smartphone market reached its saturation point, an increasing number of smartphone manufacturers have entered the foldable phone race. It has been reported that Nubia will release a foldable phone called Z60 Fold, with the model number NX801J.

It is understood that the Nubia Z60 Fold will feature a left-to-right folding design and may adopt an outward folding technology. Previously, Huawei's Mate Xs series used an outward folding design, but nowadays, inward folding has become the mainstream for foldable phones. The safety of outward folding solutions is relatively lower compared to inward folding solutions. It is unclear how Nubia will overcome the shortcomings of outward folding technology, but considering the close partnership between Nubia and Visionox, it is highly likely that Visionox will be the screen supplier for the foldable display.

Furthermore, it is rumored that the Nubia Z60 Fold will be equipped with Qualcomm's next-generation flagship SoC, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. When unfolded, the screen size will be 7.3 inches, and it will have a built-in 5000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. It will be available in two storage configurations: 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB, and it will come in three color options. The device will feature a 5000mAh battery and support 100W wired charging, as well as wireless charging.

It is worth noting that Nubia previously released a foldable phone called Nubia Alpha. It featured a flexible OLED screen that could be folded into a compact device or unfolded into a larger screen, providing a better viewing experience. Additionally, it was equipped with a high-performance processor and intelligent voice assistant capabilities. Unfortunately, due to its bulky design, the product did not perform well in the market.
