Red Magic 9 Pro: The Ultimate Flagship with a Sleek Flat Back Shell!
Recently, the new generation flagship gaming smartphone series, Red Magic 9 pro, has kicked off its pre-launch activities. The new devices in this series will officially debut on November 23. The official unveiling of the Red Magic 9 Pro's appearance reveals an incredibly cool design. Specific specifications for this phone have also been exposed. Apart from the powerful built-in fan for effective cooling, the battery life is a major highlight, and the imaging configuration has seen a certain level of upgrade.
The Red Magic 9 Pro will offer at least two color options: black and silver. Black is the standard version, while silver continues the characteristics of the previous transparent version with a back made of transparent glass, giving it a dazzling look. The overall design adopts a very robust and square appearance, with the standout feature being the rear camera area utilizing a rare flat design within the industry. The rear cameras are completely flush, and the lenses are integrated with the back glass in a seamless design, covering the entire glass without any openings. Additionally, below the two cameras is the iconic active cooling fan, and it also features RGB lighting for a spectacular effect when illuminated.
The Red Magic 9 Pro series brings significant surprises in design, performance, battery life, and screen quality. It continues the use of the previous generation's under-display camera design and adopts a new generation of under-display camera technology. It claims to be the industry's first true full-screen flagship with no notches or punch holes, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3. It will also be the best under-display full-screen Red Magic has ever produced. In terms of hardware, the phone will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform, the most robust Snapdragon 5G SoC to date. It will also feature the innovative ICE Magic Cold Cooling System, introducing the industry-first 3D ice-level VC cooling. Compared to traditional single-piece and dual-piece VC systems, the former significantly improves cooling efficiency.
It is understood that the Red Magic 9 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with a built-in 6500mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging. The front of the device maintains the under-display front camera setup. While the screen resolution hasn't reached 1.5K, rumors suggest an improvement compared to 1080P under-display screens, reaching around 1.2K resolution.
In terms of the rear camera setup, it not only features a flat design but also has impressive specifications for the main and ultra-wide-angle secondary cameras. The main camera remains a 1/1.57-inch 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 with OIS optical image stabilization, while the secondary camera is a 1/2.67-inch 50-megapixel Samsung JN1.
Other specifications include an advanced 3.5mm headphone jack, support for NFC, and infrared remote control functionality. The device's thickness is only 8.9mm. The Red Magic 9 Pro is the first gaming phone to feature the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, claiming to "redefine the ceiling of gaming performance."
